Team Kömmerling Gresini near the front in Andalusia

29 Jul 2020

Two very different race performances, but both as protagonists for Gabriel Rodrigo and Jeremy Alcoba who end the two-round Andalusian trip with a brace of good results. The Argentine stayed in the lead for a good part of the race to avoid the battle racing behind him, while the Spaniard took a much steadier approach as he stayed at the tail of the leading group for the majority of the encounter.

Both standard bearers of Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 played their cards in the late stages of the race. Alcoba, who had the pace to fight for the podium, managed with make up some places and to cross the line in fourth place (which was then turned into a seventh place due to a long-lap penalty that was not carried out), while Rodrigo was fifth at the line, with the front tyre ‘betraying’ him in the final laps.

Only a week of rest and then it will be time for Czech Republic, a track that Rodrigo loves and where Alcoba will try to impress again at his debut on this track. Brno will host the fourth event of the season on August 8-9.
