Lap records is not enough for Rodrigo

19 Apr 2021

The Indonesian Racing Gresini Moto3 is once again among the protagonists of the quarter-litre class of MotoGP. Two parallel races for Gabriel Rodrigo and Jeremy Alcoba, both in the points for the first time in 2021.

Top-five result for a Gabriel Rodrigo in excellent form, although he received a penalty after a collision with Artigas and had to do a long lap penalty. The Argentinean rider did an incredible job to get back to sixth place but at the finish line he was only 0.060s shy of a podium finish despite setting a new lap record of the track thrice (the fastest one being 1’47.610).

Two very important points also for Jeremy Alcoba who was starting from pit lane with a five-second delay. The Spaniard put together a frantic pace and he is happy with his performance in the first European race.
