Rodrigo out as Rossi scores one point in Malaysia

3 Nov 2019

A very challenging three-race, fly-away trip draws to a close for Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 who, despite a promising weekend between free practice and qualifying in Malaysia, leaves Sepang almost empty-handed as Gabri Rodrigo is out of the race after few laps and Riccardo Rossi is 15th. The point taken by the Italian is the only one scored by the team in the last three Grand Prix (Motegi, Phillip Island and Sepang), which is a very poor and hard-to-digest reward.

There is not much to say on today’s race, with Gabri Rodrigo able to get a good start but out of the race straight afterwards after a mistake at turn four, a corner that has not been kind to him throughout the weekend. Riccardo surely had a good comeback, forced by a nightmare qualifying.

There are pride and results and to recover and there will be one more chance to do so in Valencia in less than to weeks as the traditional season finale gets underway.
