A stunning race for Alcoba

14 Sep 2020

The first of two race weekends at Misano World Circuit drawas to a close with an excellent performance by Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 although, surprisingly enough, it is Jeremy Alcoba the one crossing the line first. A dream Grand Prix for the Spanish rookie who after being in 23rd place on Friday went very close to his maiden podium courtesy of a very mature performance on a track which was completely new to him until two days ago. His fourth place is so far his best career result for a debut at the team’s home GP, which could hardly go any better

Gabriel Rodrigo also had a very good race after dominating the majority of this #SanMarinoGP, before losing some crucial ground in the final turns also due to a mistake by Masia who was ahead of him. Fifth place and 11 points for the Argentine, who takes a little advantage from Arenas’s DNF and he is now seventh in the standings with 47 points.

This double top-five finish places Team Kömmerling Gresini Moto3 second in the team standings with 26 points to recover from Aspar.
