{"id":3394,"date":"2020-11-19T08:31:59","date_gmt":"2020-11-19T08:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fps-automation.com\/fps-automation-al-dakar-rally-2021\/"},"modified":"2020-11-20T15:42:03","modified_gmt":"2020-11-20T15:42:03","slug":"fps-automation-al-dakar-rally-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.fps-automation.com\/en\/fps-automation-al-dakar-rally-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"FPS Automation at Dakar Rally 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The MOTO3 season is about to end, with the <strong>K\u00f6mmerling Gresini Moto3<\/strong> team under the <strong>FPS Automation<\/strong> brand that won the title of <strong>rookie of the yea<\/strong>r thanks to the performances of <strong>Jeremy Alcoba<\/strong>, now our company is preparing for a new adventure. <strong>FPS Automation will be sponsor the RT73 Team during the Dakar Rally 2021<\/strong>, scheduled in <strong>Saudi<\/strong> <strong>Arabia<\/strong> from<strong> 3 to 15 January<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The FPS Automation logo will accompany the bike of the Genoese <strong>Angelo Pedemonte<\/strong> (who will race with bib number 123), a veteran of international raids. The team will embark from Marseille in the first days of December, having reached the Arabian Peninsula, there will be a period of acclimatization that will precede the start of the competition, on January 3rd. The end of the race is scheduled for January 15th, with only one rest day scheduled for the 9th. Departure and return will be from Jeddah.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The passion, the challenge, the impossible feat, the dream that comes true, the continuous search for excellence&#8230; are traits that unite us to those who face a competition such as the Dakar Rally. The sense of orientation must necessarily be part of the wealth of experience and Pedemonte says he found his gym in Morocco and in the numerous International Rally in which he raced, gaining considerable experience in the use of the Ertf and Iritrack navigation systems. For several consecutive years I raced on the famous dunes of the Merzouga Rally, always finishing the race, apart from a retirement due to injury. Now it is for the race of the races, for the Dakar that everyone fears but everyone aspires to.<\/p>\n<h2>The history of the Dakar<\/h2>\n<p>The legendary Paris-Dakar, since the second half of the seventies, represents the goal and dream of all drivers (cars, motorcycles and trucks) passionate about rallying in the desert. The historical route included the departure from Paris and the arrival in Dakar, Senegal. The competition, during which epic and even tragic pages of motor sports were written, was finally canceled in 2008 when the deterioration of the political situation in the Western Sahara area no longer guaranteed safety for the drivers.
